Computergraphical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

Virtual Worlds draw there charm from their similarity to the real world enriched with non-real aspects. This charm gives rise to a wide field of scientific and technical requirements. My main research topic is the computergraphical modelling of natural phenomena. This covers visual or interactive reproduction of natural appearances, i.e. those appearances that can be imparted via conventional human-computer-interfaces.

Recently, a local newspaper (Sächsische Zeitung) published a report on our virtual snow.
